Welcome To Landkey Primary School   Landkey Primary is a vibrant village school on the eastern outskirts of Barnstaple in North Devon.  There are currently approximately 175 pupils who comprise 7 single age classes from Reception (age 4+) to Year 6 (age 11). We are a caring school. According the OFSTED report of 2007, 'the school has a lovely supportive atmosphere', and 'it is a fun, energetic and inspirational place to be'. We are an important focal point for community activities in the village.    'The school has many strengths, the key one being the good achievement of the pupils as a result of the strong drive by the good leadership team to improve standards’ (OFSTED 2007).

The school building is relatively modern, being just over twelve years old and we are very fortunate to have our own grass-covered football pitch/athletics area, which will include an adventure trail and outdoor pavilion classroom, a designated ICT suite and a newly established sensory garden, with outdoor decking areas.  We have been awarded the Healthy school award and meals are served and are cooked in our own kitchens.   'The school, along with a supportive team of parents and Governors constantly strive to improve the environment and provision for the children in our care.
