At Landkey Community Primary Academy, we recognise that grief is significant and complex and can present differently in each individual. We believe that children need and deserve honesty, truth and choices surrounding death. We recognise that grief is a healthy response to loss and that we cannot 'fix' a child's grief.

 

In school, our SENDCo is a bereavement champion and is trained by the Families in Grief (FIG) charity. We have resources readily available for familiar staff to use with children experiencing grief.
