At Landkey Primary School, we aim to provide an inclusive curriculum in which each individual child can succeed and reach their full potential. We aim to remove possible barriers to learning through using a wide range of strategies across our school (see our whole school provision map below).
Some children have special educational needs or disabilities that require additional, targeted or individualised support. There are 4 broad areas of special need:
• Cognition and Learning
• Social, Emotional and Mental Health
• Communication and Interaction
• Sensory and/or Physical
Sometimes children with SEN require more specialised input and we work closely with the Educational Psychologists, Speech and Language Therapists, Occupational Therapists, Behaviour Support Team, Specialist Dyslexia Teachers and the Communication and Interaction team to advise us on the most effective support strategies and programmes to best support individuals.
