Required from January 2021, a 1:1 Teaching Assistant to work within our friendly, enthusiastic team. We are a forward thinking, creative school and require a nurturing, caring and flexible Teaching Assistant to support and assist a child who has physical, communication, interaction and learning needs - adapting experiences according to the individual's needs. Experience of working with children with additional needs is essential. A willingness to undertake necessary training is a must - along with a much needed sense of humour and the ability to work in close partnership with the class teacher, parents and the wider school team.

Clerk to Governors

Landkey Community Primary Academy

Required from February 2021

 

The post of Clerk to the Governing Body will involve approximately 150 hours over the whole academic year equating to approximately 4 hrs per week over 38 weeks however some weeks have no meetings and other weeks will require more than 4 hours.

 

This role includes creating agendas and minuting Governor meetings, organising Governor elections and other administrative duties. You will be working mainly from home outside of meetings and will be corresponding via email. Proficiency in Word and Outlook are therefore essential and you will need to be very well organised, with excellent communication skills.

 

The Clerk will be accountable to the Governing Body, working effectively with them, the Chair of Governors and the Headteacher.  The Clerk's main role is to provide professional clerking services to the Governing Body and its committees. 

 

The successful applicant will:

- be able to take accurate minutes from their own notes to then produce well-presented minutes for distribution:

- collate and distribute agendas and associated paperwork, in electronic and paper form, in a timely manner in advance of meetings

- be available to take minutes at all meetings throughout the year

- meetings will normally take place in the evenings.

- provide procedural and legal advice and guidance to the Governing Body

- attend relevant training events.

 

Experience is desirable, but not essential as training will be provided.  Candidates should be competent in the use of a word processor, e-mail and the internet, and have access to a computer.  You should have an interest in education, be tactful and able to deal with matters confidentially.

1:1 Meal Time Assistant

Required from January 2021, a part time Meal-Time Assistant to work within our friendly, enthusiastic team.  We are a forward thinking, creative school and require a nurturing, caring and flexible employee to assist a child on a 1:1 basis with lunch time routines and play activities. A willingness to undertake necessary training is essential, along with a much needed sense of humour.
